Here I am, yes it's me
Mar. 29th, 2011 09:30 amI'm going to try to post more often, even if it's only a sentence or two. We'll see how this works out.
Almost done with March and the GMILP2011. MIL moved into her new place last Wednesday. The movers were superb. They specialize in moving seniors, and they did a lot of the packing, and were on-time, cooperative, polite and careful; everything you want movers to be. I was there for the full day, getting to her old apartment at about a quarter to ten and leaving her new place around 5 in the afternoon, after escorting her to her first dinner in the dining room as an official resident. We managed to get all her furniture to fit in a way that doesn't look overly crowded, and got at least some unpacking done, though there are still boxes full of kitchen stuff and the fancy dishes and glassware that live in her china cabinet. But, she's there. Mission (mostly) accomplished.
Despite how smoothly things went, the day did a number on my still-aching piriformis. Fortunately, I had scheduled myself a massage for Sunday, which reduced every other muscle in my body to a warm jelly. Between this, skipping my riding lesson on Saturday, and my husband being very solicitous (he totally owes me for all the work I've done to get his mom moved, and he knows it), I'm feeling better, though still a little sore. I actually got back into the gym this morning, for a low-pressure workout involving lots of prescribed stretching, some arm weights and just a wee bit of cardio. Go me.
I need to do more work on my coaching website and marketing, and get that project moving forward again. Time to compose a new to-do list and get moving.
