The Five Questions Meme
How this meme works:
1 - Leave a comment, saying you want to be interviewed.
2 - I will respond; I'll ask you five questions.
3 - You'll update your journal with my five questions, and your five answers.
4 - You'll include this explanation.
5 - You'll ask other people five questions when they want to be interviewed.
She sent me the following five questions:
1. What's the first thing you notice about someone (opposite or same sex, doesn't matter)?
Intelligence and sense of humor, I think--I like people that I can have interesting conversations with. If you mean purely physical attributes, I suppose it's size (I'm shorter than most, so it's something I notice) and smile.
2. What was the biggest impetus towards changing careers?
To be honest? Boredom. I had been doing the same thing for 20 years, from the same office for 15 years, and I didn't really feel challenged or interested in my work any more. There was limited interaction with clients and colleagues, and aside from getting paid, very little feedback--I didn't know if, or how, my work was being used, and whether what I did was actually making a difference.
3. If you had the power to change one thing in your life, what would it be (major or minor)?
There's a particular family situation that has caused a rift, and if I could go back in time and make that not have happened, I'd do it without hesitation.
4. What is one thing that always cheers you up?
A good book. Chocolate. Hugs from my kids. (Okay, that's three things...consider it a bonus!)
5. If you had a day free of responsibilities, and could do anything at all, what would it be?
That would depend on my mood. I might just lounge around the house reading, drinking coffee and snacking on chocolate, and watching movies. Or, if I was feeling social, I'd invite all my friends to join me for a picnic/barbeque at a lake...since I have no responsibilities, obviously someone else would be handling the organizing, cooking and cleanup!
So...who's next?
